Protect Ghent has hired Bill Hurst as our attorney

Protect Ghent is pleased to announce that Bill Hurst of the international law firm Greenberg Traurig has been hired to represent us. Bill has extensive experience representing intervenors before the PSC, NYSDEC and other state and federal agencies on major transmission, generation and industrial siting matters, including the Athens Generating and St. Lawrence Cement proceedings, and is currently engaged in an Article VII proceeding in connection with a proposed major transmission line that would run from Canada to New York City. He is also heavily involved in energy industry matters in general (typically on behalf of merchant generators, not regulated utilities). This background gives him an incredibly strong legal and technical knowledge base, which will be valuable in this highly specialized administrative process where the other players (NYSEG, PSC staff, engineers for all parties, etc.) have that expertise.
